The S.S. Pink Star, an American owned ship flying the Panamanian flag, was the sixth ship sunk by German U-boats in the run up to the American entry into World War II on September 19, 1941. It was part of a convoy bringing food to England when it was sunk by U-552. The 4100 ton Pink Star sailed from New York on September 3, 1941, and was sunk at latitude 61.36 N, longitude 35.7 west.
Built in 1926, it was formerly known as the Danish ship, Lundby. The crew was made up of 35 merchant seamen. 13 were lost.
